Jacelyn Leo
Jacelyn loves painting and likes to create art that will convey the same sense of beauty and meaning that inspired her. When she’s painting recognizable subjects or abstract art, colour combinations are her main focus. Jacelyn’s art contains energetic brushwork, palette knife work, and blended paints using acrylic, watercolour and a variety of mixed media. She embeds texture into her art pieces to convey energy and always attempts to capture the essence of beauty in her work. Each piece of work is finished with a UV-protecting varnish that prevents yellowing or fading of colours. Her work can be hung both framed or unframed. All edges are carefully painted, making it ready to hang.
Jacelyn hopes to continue to be inspired by family and friends, nature and the beauty she sees all around us, from landscapes, flowers, and animals. Although largely self-taught, Jacelyn has attended various art workshops with professional artists. She is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and a long-time member of the Burnaby Artists Guild. Jacelyn has participated annually in juried art shows organised in the various communities of the Fraser Valley.
