Donna Konstantin
Donna creates acrylic and oil paintings that capture color and vibrancy for people who love nature, adventure, and scenes from the West Coast as well as from around the world.
She is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and a member of the Burnaby Artists Guild. She’s exhibited locally in several groups and a few solo exhibitions.
Her goal as an artist is to tell you what she sees and feels through paint. She uses acrylic and oil as mediums and expresses herself through a style that stems from her love for impressionism and an awe for old masters.
A Little House on the Danube
Acrylic on canvas 16" X 12"
Once upon a time, I saw this idyllic little house nicely situated by the shore of the mighty Danube river. Beautiful, peaceful, sunny afternoon added to the warmth of this charming scene. A promise to myself: one day, I’ll go there again.
Deer Lake: Springtime along the South Side Path
Acrylics on wrapped canvas 16" X 20"
I painted this by using a reference photo. The photo was taken by me one sunny, spring day when all that was needed to brighten the spirits was to simply go where this path takes you.
Deer Lake: A View of Seymour Mountain
Acrylics on wrapped canvas 16" X 20"
This is the result of another gorgeous day and another hike along the trails of Deer Lake Park.
A Red Boat in Marsaxlokk
Oil on canvas board 16" X 20"
Beyond the seven mountains and seven seas, this small fishing village is colouring its existence — and the existence of its visitors I must say, as this atmosphere and these colours stay with you forever.
A Water Fountain in Figueres
Acrylics on wrapped canvas 16" X 20"
A short break after an enjoyable museum visit, a unique, small refuge from Sun and heat, and an old water fountain still offering cold, refreshing droplets.
